Alfred Dupont Bldg

Training Account
The 17-story Alfred I. duPont Building was the first skyscraper constructed in Miami after the completion of the Dade County Courthouse in 1928, signaling the city's economic recovery from the Great Depression. The outstanding interior decoration of this Depression Moderne style building features Seminole Indian motifs and local flora and fauna. The building was dubbed the "U.S.S. Neversink” during World War II when it served as Fleet Headquarters for the 7th Naval District. The Alfred I. duPont Building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. #Art_Deco #Miami
