Klaverblad Verzekeringen is an insurance company located on a prominent access road in Zoetermeer. After consulting with the client, it was decided that the new office would have an attractive brick façade with aluminium window frames to provide a look of functionality and reliability. The design provides its surroundings with new elan and can be seen as a fascinating upgrade – so much so, that the expected redevelopment of the surrounding buildings in coming years may look to this office complex for inspiration. KOW designed both the exterior and interior. In spite of its size (13,000 m²), the building had to project a sense of unity. This was accomplished by the detailing used in the exterior and the interior. An atrium is locatedplaced in the centre of the building with the offices grouped around it. The atrium is accessible from all the offices and thus serves as an important connecting element. Despite the building’s size, an intimate atmosphere has been created by the atrium, the colour combinations and the choice of materials.
