Large-format Precious Plastic flake-extruding 3D printer

Large-format Precious Plastic flake-extruding 3D printer

Sam S.
This is a model of an experimental precious plastic 3D printer that prints directly from Polypropylene flakes, without filament. It has a large bead and low resolution, and is intended for creating strong, complex large objects, on the scale of a surfboard, park bench, or wind tubine. The current model is on a 40" x 48" pallet and the effective print area is slightly smaller than that, with around 6" of Z travel.
