Yokohama Marine Tower: Aircraft Warning Paint Scheme

Yokohama Marine Tower: Aircraft Warning Paint Scheme

John W.
This structure is the Yokohama Marine Tower, which at 106 meters is the tallest lighthouse in the world. The small building in the front is a harbor light that is similar to two in the United States-one in New Jersey, one in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. This paint scheme was on the tower beginning when it was completed in 1961, up until the early 1980s, when it was repainted to the gray scheme.
