This building was originally built to serve as a restaurant and a hotel. Over the years the function has been changed over and over again, from nightclub to clothes store. It was renovated in 1949 and 1997. With the return of the good reputation in Miami Beach in the 1980s - 1990s, new owners came and had the name changed to what it used to be called; the Shep Davis Plaza. Currently, the building serves as an apartment building, but the store is vacant again.
