IJN Akagi

KUCHIRI55
The IJN Akagi was an aircraft carrier that served in the Japanese Navy during World War II. Originally planned as a battlecruiser, she was rebuilt into an aircraft carrier due to the restrictions imposed by the Washington Naval Treaty. The Akagi, along with the Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu, Shokaku, and Zuikaku, took part in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. She was eventually sunk in 1942 during the Battle of Midway. Credit goes to Zilla517 for the carrier and to JIHS for his A6M2 Zero model. #A6M #A6M2 #Aircraft #Akagi #Carrier #Harbor #II #IJN #Imperial #Japan #Japanese #Midway #Navy #Pearl #War #World #WWII #Zeke #Zero
