Bonding Warehouse

Bonding Warehouse

Landmark3d
Description
The Grade II listed building dates from 1875 and is one of the few surviving warehouses on the river's west bank, although it has fallen into disrepair since it was flooded almost eight years ago in the deluge of 2000. It was designed by City Surveyor George Styan and was intended to encourage seagoing vessels to use York as an inland port. It is one of only two surviving warehouses on Skeldergate, the other being Woodsmill, which has been converted into flats. #bishophill #bonding_warehouse #ouse #river_ouse #skeldergate #warehouse #York
