I.A.I. Affaristica Cinque Porte (1954-1968)

I.A.I. Affaristica Cinque Porte (1954-1968)

Another Car Maker
Inspired by big cars of the america, the I.A.I. in Italy launched the Affaristica Cinque Porte with a cheap price, due to the poverty in the country. The price today would be around 8.000$ circa, which is a very cheap price for the cathegory and for the performance of the Affaristica Cinque Porte. The I.A.I. with this car aimed not only to the style but also to the comfort. A family of six or even seven people can enter and fit well in the car, and this meant in those years a big victory for the I.A.I. But the advantages are also in the performance. The Affaristica Cinque Porte aimed also to managers, to business-men. The Affaristica Cinque Porte was powered by a 2298cm³ with 105 hp. In the front, the brakes were disc type and the Affaristica was the first I.A.I. to have the Matic Clutch, the automatic clutch. The gearbox was, however, still manual. The mass of the car was about 1650kg and it was a tank in the roads. The Affaristica ended its life in the 1968: the style was too much old and the car needs too much fuel for short amount of road. It's now considered as a classic like the I.A.I. Tevere. #50s #Affaristica #car #Cinque #IAI #Porte #sedan #vehicle
