Eckford Parish Church stands on the route taken by monks passing from Holy Island to St Kentigern's, Glasgow. Some of the oldest remains of the church date from 1665, although the present building was erected in 1771, with alterations and additions throughout the 19th Century. A small round tower, known locally as "the ghoul tower", sits in the graveyard and was originally built as a measure against body snatchers. #Church #Kalemouth #Roxburgh #Scottish_Borders
