Description
The building was constructed in 1790 as a warehouse for the Zeelandia fortress at Paramaribo. In 1996 it served as an office building. In that year it was completely destroyed by a fire. Only the sturdy brick construction survived the flames. No efforts have been undertaken to restore the building. At present (2012) the ruin still stands.
