USS Voyager

USS Voyager

PROTEGE
Description
The USS Voyager was among the many ships that fought in the Revolutionary War. Built in 1770, USS Voyager became a model for future war ships. Voyager's design strikes a mixture of elegance and power. Armed with 28 cannons, it is one of the most powerful ships ever built. Her captain, Samuel Janeway sailed the fearsome giant into the heart of battle and defended the 13 colonies against British attacks during 1773-1775. USS Voyager had 4 decks, 5 masts, and a crew of 14 men. USS Voyager was denied decommission in 1777, and is now preserved at Boston Harbor in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. This is the first ship to bear the name "Voyager". About 300 years later, the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 probes were launched to explore Neptune and Uranus. In 2370, the United Federation of Planets completed the construction of the Federation Starship, the USS Voyager NCC-74656. #18th_Century_Ship #Battleship #Elegant_Ship #Frigate #Galleon #Majestic_Ship #Revolutionary_War #Sails #Schooner #Ship_of_the_Line #Ships #Sloop #USS_Voyager #Voyager #Warship
