Baseball Infield 1876

joefromchicago
Baseball infield as it might have appeared in 1876 (National League). Bases are centered on the corner points. The point of home base closest to the pitching box is located at the point where the first and third base lines intersect (home base is entirely in foul territory). Foul lines only extend to the bases (guidelines left in place to show where foul lines extend beyond bases). Foul poles, 6' - 8' tall, would be located at the outfield wall (not included in model). #baseball #infield #sports #stadium
