6 Meadow Way

6 Meadow Way

John W.
A detached house in red brick, dating from the 1920s. With permission from her family, this 3D model of her house is included in tribute to the late owner, Mrs Patricia (Pat) Tutty. I took the photographs in Nov.-Dec. 2012 while the house was unoccupied and on the market for sale. The house has not been extensively renovated. Josh Tidy of the Museum has taken interior photographs. Mrs Tutty's grandfather Robert William (Bill) Miles was a builder and built this house for his family. A matching extension to the southwest corner was built by George Pateman within years of the main construction. The house has been well maintained by Howes and Boughton, a reputable local firm of builders. There is said to be a similar house in nearby Field Lane, rendered in pebbledash (roughcast). Note: the brickwork and tiling is precisely patterned all over the exterior. My model lacks the precision to do it justice. #2_storey #decorative_brickwork #detached #early_Garden_City #early_integral_garage #house #roof__wall_clay_tiling
