N'dilo located on the northern most tip of Latham Island faces development constraints very similar to those found throughout Yellowknife and Dettah. Rock outcrops interspersed with pockets of poorly drained soils can result in expensive land developments, especially if rock blasting and extensive fill is required. N’dilo confronts one additional development constraint - a lack of land. N’dilo, also known as lot 500, is geographically bound by Great Slave Lake on three sides and the city of Yellowknife. It literally has no room to expand. It is further constrained by its rough rocky topography, which can make development expensive. The community of N’dilo prepared a development scheme and identified future development areas. Once fully developed, expansion possibilities in N’dilo will cease.
There are no available residential, commercial, or industrial lots in N’dilo.
