West Virginia University's Agricultural Sciences Building houses the main offices of the College of Agriculture and Forestry's agriculture department.
The Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Consumer Sciences, West Virginia University's oldest Academic Unit, was originally known as the WV Agricultural College. It is divided into five divisions of study: Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Family and Consumer Sciences, Forestry, Plant and Soil Sciences, and Resource Management. The Agricultural Sciences Building contains the majority of the offices, classrooms, and laboratories for the agricultural program. Faculty members are also located in Percival and Allen Halls, and in various research centers around the state. By maintaining eight farms, two campus greenhouses, and more than 8,000 acres of forest land for teaching and research, the Davis College is able to provide the highest quality education and hands-on experiences.
On February 7, 1867, the West Virginia legislature established the Agricultural College of West Virginia in Morgantown
