Shonisaurus popularis

Birdman
Description
At 70 feet long, Shonisaurus was the largest icthyosaur that ever existed. This massive reptile traveled in large shoals, feeding on fish, squid, and sometimes smaller sea reptiles. Thier deep bellies acted as a stabilizing device, ensuring that thier huge bulky bodies wouldn't roll over uncontrolably in the water. Due to thier size, these leviathons rarely ventured into waters less than 30 feet deep. #animal #arizona #birdman #icthyosaur #nevada #prehistoric #reptile #shonisaurus #triassic #water
