The Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center is a brand new 137 foot, 14 story hotel located in the Warehouse District of the city. Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center opened for business on July 11, 2005. The original proposal called for a 400-foot tower that was later rejected as being to out of scale with the low-rise Warehouse District.
