98% scratch built - got lazy so I stole the prop blades from AirplaneNerd c: Anyway I'll also do a version with gear as soon as I have the energy to. //// As the battle against Hitler raged on in Europe, a new Allied fighter began to emerge in the European Theatre. The American S-1A Falcon, one of Brickton's early fighters, was an agile fighter that could pack a punch. Easily able to outmaneuver the best German jets, the S-1A was no match for the slower, bulkier Bf 109s and Fw 190s. With a design loosely based off of the British Spitfire Mk. IV, the S-1A was a single seat speed demon. In addition, it was able to carry 6 cannons and 2 wing-mounted machine guns. If needed for bombing missions, the S-1A could carry up to 4 250lb bombs or 2 500lb bombs. The jet served with the USAAF and the French Air Force from late 1942 until the war's end in 1945, inflicting heavy losses on the Luftwaffe while only losing a hundred-some airframes and pilots. #Air #America #Army #Brickton #Falcon #Fighter #Force #II #Jet #S1 #S1A #States #United #US #USAAF #USAF #War #World
