MSX/R Tigersnake Edition 25

M-Speed
The Tigersnake is MSX/R's new supercar, released in late 2013 to celebrate the company's 25th anneversary, which is why all 2013 models will be Edition 25 special editions. All Edition 25s come in either MSX/R blue or the light blue matching the 1974 MSX Type V, both with white stripes and gold wheels, body colour trim highlights, a power upgrade and less engine sound insulation. It represents many firsts for MSX/R. It's the first mid engined MSX/R, the first with a carbon fibre tub, the first with pushrod suspension and most importantly the first not based on an existing MSX design, but designed from the ground up by MSX/R. It is named after the V8 engine that powers it and much of MSX/R's current range. The engine here is used in it's flagship 5.9 litre supercharged form, mated to either a 6 speed manual or 7 speed DCT auto. It produces 649hp(484kW)@6400rpm and 687Nm@2900-4500rpm, all of which goes through the rear wheels. The car weighs 1450kg The Tigersnake has all the usual supercar features, including launch control, four mode stability control, electronic LSD, launch control, active aero, 8 piston carbon ceramic brakes. The Tigersnake is not priced like similar supercars with this level of performance, it's priced like an MSX/R. You can buy an Edition 25 for AU$188,950, US$$121,800, £82,400, €102,190, CN¥1.71 million.
