J.J.K.Favaloro
The ANZAC War Memorial located on the central axis of Hyde Park Sydney and is the main commemorative military monument in NSW. The monument was designed by young Sydney architect, C. Bruce Dellit after a prestigious design competition which had its beginnings in 1919. Its Art Deco design was bold for its time and was the centre of much debate within the architectural community of NSW for many years. Its exterior is adorned with brass figurative reliefs and sculptures, designed by Rayner Hoff, which depict events and personnel from Australia’s wartime history. The Memorial was officially opened by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Gloucester on 24 November 1934. #Anzac #australia #hyde #memorial #nsw #park #south #sydney
