Description
The need for a new home for the division was recognized and bidding for the new construction began in May 1963. The facility was to cost $856,413, with around "$300,000 from a federal Hill-Burton grant, $300,000 from University funds and $100,000 from the Robert R. McCormick Charitable Trust" and other gifts. It was designed by Ganster & Hennighausen in conjunction with University Architect Ernest L. Stouffer, and built by A. F. Krall Construction Co.
