Step 3 PXE Boot Provisioning Network

Step 3 PXE Boot Provisioning Network

Daniel
This is the Provisioning Network. Basically what PXE boot does is TFTP boot the base server operating system. It's often referred to as "Bare Metal" provisioning. From the management network configure the motherboard Eth1 and set it to dhcp and PXE (tftp) boot from the desired PXE image you desire for the base image on the server. The link between the PXE server to the rest of the network is 10GE whereas the links to each servcer are 1GE. There is a 10GE dedicated trunk between the to management switchs for PXE network which allows for faster provisioning when dealing with multiple compute racks. The rack on the right is the management/network rack, the rack on the left is for Compute & Storage. This is Step 3 in building your Multi Tenant Cloud Infrastructure. Note this is before you install BigSwitch Fabric Controllers and OpenStack. Step 2 & 3 are the pre-requisite foundation for OpenStack Deployment. #BigSwitch #Cloud #Data_Center #Dell #EdgeCore #Internet #Managed_Hosting #Network #OpenStack #Router #SDN #Servers #Switches
