`Iolani Palace is a Hawaiian national treasure. I was built by King David Kalakaua in 1882. It was the official residence for the Hawaiian Kingdom's last two monarchs; King Kaulakaua and his successor, his sister Queen Lili`uokalani. It was the center of social and political activity in Hawaii during the monarchy period.
The palace was designed by architects Thomas J. Baker, C.S. Wall, and Isaac Moore. This Italianate style building was added to the Nation Registry of Historical Places in 1962. #Hawaii #Historial_building #Honolulu #Palace
