Dolichorhynchops osborni

Dolichorhynchops osborni

Birdman
The 10 foot Dolichorhynchops long was a fast-moving, fish eater, just like Pachyrizodus and Clidastes. The difference between them is that Clidastes hunted in small groups, Pachyrizodus hunted in large schools, and Dolichorhynchops hunted by tagging along with pods of it's enormous relative, Elasmosaurus. While The smaller, faster, better sighted pliosaur scouted ahead for schools of fish that the pleisiosaurs might not notice, the giant Elasmosaurs provided protection for Dolichorhynchops from larger predators.
