Meissen porcelain is the first European porcelain that was developed from 1708 .Johann Friedrich Böttger brought porcelain to the market. The production of porcelain at Meissen, near Dresden, started in 1710 and It is one of the most famous porcelain manufacturers now. Russia imported 40% of the total export of Meissen porcelain in 1770. With an unusually high demand Meissen manufactory was allocated special days for the production of goods to Russia in XIX century. It is in business today as Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH. Crossed Swords is the emblem of the Meissen porcelain with almost three hundred year of history.
