Nestled in the trees of Central Park’s rustic northern woods, this shelter offers an escape from the city and protection from the natural elements. Organized around an oculus, the soft curves of each wall define each section’s function. The transition between spaces reveals windows unfolding a series of different perspectives on the surrounding nature. Thus providing an intimate experience with nature while, ironically, still being in the city.
