This is my string counterbalance scope based on Tom Krajci's counterbalance concept. The scope is designed to fit a travel bag and is designed around my existing optics.
The scope goes about 20 degrees past zenith. The spring acts as a counterbalance on both sides of zenith. The disadvantage of the counterbalance is that the scope is tippy when viewing near the horizon.
