Torosaurus latus

Torosaurus latus

Birdman
With a head measuring 9 feet from the top of its frill to the tip of its beak, Torosaurus sported the largest skull known on any land vertabrate. This large ceratopsian lived in a more southerly range than its relative, Triceratops, and was slightly shorter, bodywise as well. Males used thier impressive headgear to attract mates, eventually gathering a harem. Shown here, from left to right, are an adult male, an adult female, and a juvenile. #animal #birdman #ceratopsian #cretaceous #dinosaur #frill #horn #montana #prehistoric #texas #torosaurus
