Robert Peel was a British Conservative statesman who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in two seperate terms between 1834 and 1846. He is perhaps best known for creating the modern police force. This statue of him was built in 1859 by John Mossman and stands in George Square in the heart of Glasgow. #glasgow #great_britain #scotland #statue #united_kingdom
