Left Prosthetic Arm

Left Prosthetic Arm

Natalie Yeung
Created for my Exercise Science Skeleton Assignment. My prosthetic is made out of carbon fibre, and is equivalent in mass to a 5'11" female's arm (~5% total body mass). My amputee is 59kg, so that is 2.95 kg. There are no conventional straps or bolts to fasten the prosthetic, but it uses suction sockets. The blue areas located on the fingers and the palm are where the nerves are going to be. Also, near the suction sockets, the blue also represents the microscopic wires that will attach to the shoulder. The blue demonstrates the transmitting of electrical signals into motor commands. #Prosthetic_Arm
