Lowland Silo

Lowland Silo

ixboat
The cows stomp all over what was once an active Eastern Colorado family ranch home. Perhaps the family moved their residence because of the annoying sound of Interstate 70 highway traffic, right nearby. I wouldn't blame them. This is a cute old silo, probably built in the 1940s, of wire reinforced concrete, cast in place in layers. The years of gravity have given it a distinctive lean, and the non plumb and true character is difficult to model in the precise Sketchup environment. I tried to make sure you can tell that it's not straight. Stay tuned for several more historic structures to be modeled on this site in Lowland. #153 #agate #co #colorado #eastern #historic #I70 #lowland #silo
