OLPS school is one of the better government funded Catholic convents for boys in Chembur from kindergarten to Std.10
It was founded by the Irish Redemptorist fathers in the 50s when the area around it was undeveloped marshland.
It has a student population of around 2400 students who go to school in two batches for lack of space. The school is in operation from 7am to 6pm and then used for extracurricular purposes. There is a soccer field at the back which was unfortunately sold to private developers. OLPS school is one of the 4 major schools in this neighbourhood. The fact that all four schools have similar timings creates havoc for residents living around the periphery, at 1pm when sessions switch and at 6pm when parents drive their younger children home.
The teachers at this school are professional and have the distinction of serving the school for many years. #chembur #dubey_ji #OLPS #our_lady_of_perpetual_succour
