Saturn and It's Rings

MorBius
Saturn (IPA: /ˈsætɚn/) is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System, after Jupiter. Along with the planets Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune, it is classified as a gas giant (also known as a Jovian planet, after the planet Jupiter). The ring system of Saturn is divided into 7 major components: the E, G, F, A, B, C and D rings, listed from outside to inside (but in reality, these major divisions are subdivided into thousands of individual ringlets). The E, F, G and D rings are thin and difficult to see, while the A, B, and C rings are broad and easily visible. The large gap between the A ring and and the B ring is called the Cassini division. Model sphere created with Anim8or and overlaid with orthographic map by Steve Albers. It is in scale of 1/1000 km.
