Description
THIS THEME WHITE END TABLE IS DESIGNED BY JOHN A WEICK RA & AP LEED UPDATED ON JULY 4, 2012 AND IS NOW PART OF THE JOHN WEICK FUNCTIONAL SCULPTURES. THE THEME END TABLE SHOWN IS A SINGLE WHITE SHEET BENT INTO TWO SURFACES AND SEPARATED BY CHROME METAL SPACERS TO SHOW CLEARLY HOW THE TABLE, WITHOUT AMBlGUITY, WAS MADE. THIS IS MY FIRST DESIGN AND WAS DONE USING CLEAR, SMOKE AND OTHER ACRYLIC PLASTIC SHEET COLORS. THIS WAS ALSO MY FIRST DESIGN PATENT 218,618 ON SEPTEMBER 8, 1970. I SOLD AND PRODUCED THIS DESIGN BY USING A PLASTIC MANUFACTURE AND BY I MAKING THE METAL CONNECTORS IN ZELF MACHINE SHOP JUST OFF CANAL STREET, NYC. THE NAME THEME IS PART OF MY FIRST FURNITURE TABLE SERIES CALLED THEME, DEVELOPMENT AND VARIATION. THESE NAMES ARE ARCHITECTURAL AND MUSIC DEVELOPMENT TERMS. I HAVE FOR A LONG TIME WANTED TO SEE THESE DESIGNS IN OTHER SHEET MATERIALS SUCH AS BENT PLYWOOD, ALUMINUM BENT SHEET PANEL WITH A RESIN CORE THAT IS USED ON EXTERIOR CLADDING PANELS FOR BUILDING. SKETCH-UP HAS ALLOWED TO SEE THIS. THESE DESIGNS COME IN VARIOUS SIZES, SHAPES, FINISHES AND COLORS.
