Plumpton Place Entrance Lodges and Gatehouse, 1927

Michael E.
A late-ish building, circa 1927, by Sir Edwin Lutyens, for Edward Hudson. The lodges framed the existing Elizabethan house and acted as part of the entry sequence. The building combines vernacular and classical styles as only Lutyens could do it. Incidentally, Jimmy Page owned Plumpton Place for awhile.
