Community College of Vermont (Wilder)

Creating Hartford
The Community College of Vermont, also known as CCV, in Wilder is located on Billings Farm Road. Governor James Douglas dedicated the building in 2005. The CCV has ten classrooms, a large lecture hall, a multipurpose room, office areas, and a space for a VT interactive television. Spray foam insulation is found throughout the whole building for energy efficiency. The building also has energy efficient HVAC systems with heat recovery. The lights in the CCV are on day lighting sensors that automatically dim when outside light levels are adequate. Lights are also on occupancy sensors that turn off when a room is not in use. CCV received the Efficiency Vermont’s, 2006 Award for Innovation in Integrated Design, Better Buildings by Design. CCV is the second largest and most affordable college in Vermont. Around 9,500 students enroll each year, with a diverse student population ranging from ages 16 to 80. #Billings #Cemetery #Chrisian #College #Community #Farm #Road #Street #Vermont #Wilder
