Modular miter saw station

Modular miter saw station

Edward S.
This miter saw station is a roughly 12 ft wide, 24 3/4 in deep, and 37 3/4 in high. It incorporates design elements from Jeremy Schmidt's workbench design on youtube. He has a video on how the drawers are made. The drawers and exterior components are meant to be made from 60x60 baltic birch plywood. A cut guide is to the right of the model if you zoom out. The hidden components can be build out of less expensive plywood or particle board. I'm just making the whole thing out of baltic birch since it's cheap where I live. This is designed for a smaller miter saw, but could fit any size if you just widen the middle section. The beauty of Jeremy Schmidt's design is that drawers, shelves, (and cabinets doors to an extent) can be easily rearranged or added depending on your evolving needs. Total cost to build this I estimate to be $300 to $500 depending on the materials used. The few joints will held together with glue and pocket screws. The miter fence is attached to t-slot track so that it can be slid back out of the way if I want to use the counter for something else. #miter_saw #station #work_bench #workbench
